What is a WordPress blog?

WordPress is a state-of-the-art publishing platform with a focus on aesthetics, web standards, and usability. WordPress is both free and priceless at the same time.

Why do I want a WordPress blog?

WordPress is what you use when you want to work with your blogging software, not fight it.

A WordPress blog works with your regular web site. You can set up your custom web site to fit your own needs, (www.yoursite.com) and also include the blog within the site (www.yoursite.com/blog.) You can link from one to the other and back, no problem. This lets you combine your professional or personalized web site content with an easy-to-update blog. Your blog can include your own commentary, comments and feedback from your readers, and multiple pages within the blog. Many users find it easy to build their entire web site in the blog, and simply redirect their web site to the blog.

What do Red Ace Users think?

Well I've spent the last couple of days playing around with the WordPress blog, and I have to say I really like it. I was getting kind of tired of Blogger, and at least right now WordPress is doing all the things I wish Blogger was doing. The open source-ness is really nice because that makes it very customizable, and I have a lot more control and flexibility with this interface. One of my favorite things is that I can easily edit the raw HTML of my posts and it doesn't freak out on me.

I was easily able to migrate everything from the old blog to the new one, so I've officially "moved" the blog now and plan to update this one and leave the old one to rot.

By the way, if you want to sign up to get the E-mail updates all you have to do is register. You don't even have to log in and change your password to get the E-mail notifications, but you can if you want and that lets you do some other stuff too.

I'm very pleased with everything I've seen so far on WordPress.
